A little about me!

I guess if I expect folks to read this they should know alittle about me. So here goes:

I am a single mom of two grown daughters, one of which still lives at home. (she is trying to decide what she wants to be when she grows up)  That is not really true, she knows what she wants to be (and is) a dance teacher, she just wishes it paid more like a real job so one day she wouldn’t have to live with mom. I also have a darling grandson and another grandchild on the way.  My oldest daughter and son in law live close by so that makes it great when I want to see my favorite little guy.  Lucas is 3 1/2 and it just so happens he is coming to stay with Nana (that’s me) this week end. Like most kids his age, he asks lots of questions, is in to instant gratification and is just as happy playing with my cooking tools as his toys.  Since the home daughter has major allergies our only pets at this time are 3 fish.

I am a principal’s secretary at High School located in a diverse area of the OC.  I am grateful to have a job in these tough economic times but have to admit I am looking forward to the time when I can sit on my porch enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the world go by.  But for now I will grab my commuter mug of java on my way out the door to the join the rest of the lucky workforce.

I am a true home body, love to read, watch TV, scrapbook and of course cook.  I have a close group of friends who love me in spite of my faults and support me thru my toughest times.  I believe in God and go to church on occasion,  I may bless you from time to time or keep you in my prayers but that is the extent of the preaching you will get from me.

It’s time to fix dinner so will close this out for now, hope you all had a nice day and happy times are ahead.

B
